(Pre) Primary School SYF 2012

A busy Saturday for Baby, (not us cuz I was just tagging along for fun), cause its a Pre-Judging for Simon's primary schools. 9 primary schools will be reporting for this pre-judging. And their actual SYF is just a month away.

Woke up pretty early, even earlier than my usual work time; 5.30am. Niki and Wintee couldn't sleep well, so I woke up to feed them both and play awhile.

And upon getting prepared, Niki's face was so gloomy and he *pouts* while watch us get ready. He didn't whine but looking at the expression he gave, I think he knew that we'll be away for long time today.

Wintee is sian all the way la.

We headed down to CCK ITE via MRT, then LRT. A 5-10mins walk from Keat Hong LRT station.

Its a new school actually.

A new building.

And the "Hall' was located at lvl 7 !!!???

And everyone will need an access card to use the lift. We're lucky that a cleaner on duty helped us with that. Kinda stupid isn't it??!! It's open for public to book the auditorium and they need an access card to it?? Then all the guest will find some difficulty locating the place!

But anyway, its a 900 seater auditorium, a new place for rent. 6k. Per ticket needs to  be sold at 6bucks to cover the cost (less manpower and other allowances)

So we're stucked here for the videoing stuff.

And there were 7 judges?

Prof Ho was one of them.

In general, I was amazed by how the primary school kids handle the music and their instruments. Yes they might be young, and there are kids who can't sit still and listen. But when they are on stage, look at the way they try to play their best, I think as a conductor that is the best reward.

We went for lunch at Warren Country Club with the rest and headed to Teck Whye Primary School for their Camp. Baby is there to teach, and I am the supervisor for the day! LOL~ AND I GET TO PLAY Eb HORN !! YAY~~

So fun. =D And I feel so so regret that I didn't join band in my primary school days. If not i'll be a brass player~ hmm...

Our day ended fast, really taxing day for both of us. And we pampered ourselves with a movie treat .. initially wanted to catch the 9plus show but ended up there're only good seats left for 11.40pm. Sigh... we tried our best to stay awake, and headed to the cinema slightly earlier.
